“Mindfulness for Life” sessions take place on Zoom each Monday after the meditation.
During these sessions you will learn mindfulness practices that will help you to manage the daily stresses in your life. In particular, they may help you to work with the stress caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and find relief from problems such as high blood pressure and insomnia.
These practices have been proved to be very useful in helping to reduce stress and the symptoms of anxiety. Research has also shown that they can help with depression and reduce the incidence of relapse.
Sessions will include practical applications of Mindfulness such as using the practices to develop appreciation for beauty in the form of art, music and the natural world. You will also learn how to cultivate positive emotions in the form of Loving kindness practices. All are welcome and no experience is neccesary. The sessions will be facilitated by David Culver and will consist of a combination of discussion and presentation as well as learning various practices as suggested above.
